Estartit
Estartit, once a young fishing village, over the last years has matured into a complete tourist centre with much to offer.
Restaurants of character, authentic bars, coffee shops, clothes, jewelry and gift shops of all kinds.In the evening discotheques and romantic moonlit terraces.
For the more sportive the list is extensive, tennis, squash, horseriding, rambling, waterskiing, paragliding, just to name a few. The glorious wide beaches are unique for the Costa Brava. The cristal clear waters reveal an underwater paradise for schnorkelers and divers, or if you prefer not to get your feet wet, glass bottom boats make regular trips during the day and early evening.
Situation
A few yards from the campsite is the centre of Estartit.
Although with many extensions over the last years to accomplish excellent tourist facilities for young and old, some of the original flare of this small fishing village still remains.
The wide stretches of fine sandy beaches are easily accessible within four minutes walk from the campsite. With its gradual decline of shoreline it also ensures safety for the children.
A few hundred yards from the shore lie the Medas Islands, famous for its underwater coral and sea life and captured on many instruction films for divers.Courses are available in diving to gain your licence within five days.
